All US cross-country skiers and supporters
now have a chance to become REAL friends of US Cross-country! The United States Ski and Snowboard Association,
the National Governing Body for snow-sports in the US, is launching the Friends of Cross-Country Campaign.
The Nordic world was blown away by Kikkan Randall's recent World Cup victory; the
US Cross-country Ski Team is running a more progressive program than ever and the Team is gaining momentum on the
World Cup and international circuit.
Besides Kikkan, our top ranked sprinters Andrew Newell and Torin Koos
have also visited the World Cup podium, and Kris Freeman has cracked the top 5 in the world this season. Kris was
the U23 World Championa few years ago, and Laura Valaas won a silver medal at the same championship last winter.
Beyond that, we have a better talent pool than ever getting ready to make their marks.
Sun Valley skiers
Morgan Arritola, Alexa Turzian, Reid Pletcher, Mike Sinnott, Colin Rodgers and Zack Simons have all donned the US Ski Team
suit, and we are looking at more locals having the same opportunity this winter. We need to support their efforts in
representing the United States in years to come.
